How to view and remove EXIF

  1. Select photos and check capture details and GPS presence for each file.
  2. If an orientation warning appears, acknowledge it before removing metadata.
  3. Download each file after output verification. Output names include -clean.

Limits

All JPEG APP1 (EXIF/XMP) and APP13 (IPTC) segments are removed. The output is parsed again to verify their absence. Pixels are not re-encoded.

APP2 (ICC), JPEG comments and other segments are retained. Removal of all personal information is not guaranteed; visible photo content also remains.

GPS presence refers to EXIF GPS tags. Locations in XMP or other areas are not summarized. Capture dates are shown as stored, without time zone conversion.

PNG, WebP and HEIC are unsupported. Damaged EXIF, data after the end marker and some special JPEG variants are rejected for safety. Image decoding validation and automatic rotation are not performed.
