BMI & BMR calculator
Explore weight and energy estimates using your inputs and country-specific criteria.
For reference only · Not medical advice
This is not a diagnostic tool. It does not apply to children, adolescents or pregnancy. Actual energy needs may differ.

BMI is displayed to one decimal place; classification uses the unrounded value.
The normal weight interval includes the lower bound and excludes the upper bound. Displayed boundaries are approximations rounded to two decimal places.
Equations and limitations
BMI = kg / (cm / 100)²
BMR uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. The original paper estimates resting energy expenditure (REE); this is not a measurement.
10 × kg + 6.25 × cm − 5 × age + s
Male s = +5, female s = −161. Daily energy needs = estimated BMR × activity factor. Calories are rounded to whole numbers for display.
Activity factors are rough estimation settings for this tool. They are neither factors validated in the original Mifflin-St Jeor study nor a personal dietary prescription.
Muscle mass, fat distribution, medical conditions and individual differences are not considered. Country selection changes only BMI criteria; units always remain cm, kg and kcal/day.
For people under 20, only the BMI value is shown; adult classification, normal weight range and energy estimates are withheld.
